Open Access Policy

Russian Journal of Nonlinear Dynamics is an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journal covering both fundamental fields and areas of applied science. The journal endeavors to stimulate the development of multilateral relations between the theory and applications and to promote the interpenetration of various disciplines and the use of advanced mathematical and computer-based methods in the study of real dynamical systems. According to the Budapest Open-Access Initiative, by “open access” [to peer-reviewed research literature], we mean its free availability on the public Internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the Internet itself. The only constraint on reproduction and distribution, and the only role for copyright in this domain, should be to give authors control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly acknowledged and cited.

Papers published in the journal are provided to readers under the terms of the free license CC BY-ND – Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported (unless the more permissive license CC BY-SA is explicitly indicated). According to the terms of the license, the authors retain exclusive rights to their papers.  The CC BY-ND license allows distribution, commercial and noncommercial  use  of  papers published in the journal as long as they remain unchanged and complete and provided that the authorship is indicated and a reference is made to the corresponding publication in the Russian Journal of Nonlinear Dynamics. Illustrations (figures, tables and appendices, including electronic ones) are separate objects of copyright, and their distribution is also regulated by the CC BY-ND license. This means that illustrations published in the Russian Journal of Nonlinear Dynamics may be re-used in unmodified form in other publications provided that their authorship is indicated and a reference is made to the corresponding publication in the journal.

If the author desires, the paper may be published under the terms of the more permissive license CC BY-SA – Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported. In addition to the above-mentioned rights, the works published under the terms of the CC BY-SA license may be used as a basis for creation of other works. All new works based on those published in the Russian Journal of Nonlinear Dynamics journal under the terms of the CC BY-SA license should be distributed in accordance with the same license, retaining information about the authorship of the initial paper and its bibliographic data. We recommend the authors to use the CC BY-SA license for papers that include the source code of the software developed by the authors, and other resources which can be used as a basis for creation of other works.

The decision on the paper publication is made by the editorial board of the journal according to the results of an independent review. The journal does not charge a publication fee. The content of the journal is protected by copyright. Whenever materials published in the journal are used, a reference shall be made to the corresponding publication in the Russian Journal of Nonlinear Dynamics.
